LWVMHR at the Kingston Pinkster Celebration

by Deborah Marr

Pinkster embraces and celebrates “Joy as an Act of Resistance,” Begun during our country’s slaveholding times, it has transformed into a time to honor our ancestor’s ability to find joy in the time of hardship.

TRANSART requested the League of Women Voters Mid-Hudson Region to be available to inform and register voters during this May’s celebration in Kingston.

Daisy Taylor, Christine Hunter, Karen Miller and myself had time to get to know one another while experiencing music, theatre, and local artists. To find out more about Pinkster check out their web site
